The team at Specsavers in Sutton in Ashfield are rallying round to offer emergency eye care to those who need it most during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specsavers in Sutton-in-Ashfield is focusing on essential and urgent care only, particularly for key workers, having suspended all routine testing for the foreseeable future.Operating on a skeleton team, the store has managed to help numerous key workers over the past week including nurses, healthcare assistants and delivery drivers – whose eyesight is essential in order to maintain the vital work they are doing.
The store has also helpedseveral customers who needed urgent eye care, including someone who was suffering with a corneal ulcer and another who had ocular hypertension,which if left untreated could be sight threatening.
