Sutton Coldfield share Christmas cheer with families in need
Specsavers in Sutton Coldfield is encouraging the local community to dig deep this festive season by donating gifts in aid of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal.
For the fifth year in a row, the team in the Red Rose Centre are supporting the cause which collects toys and gifts for children and families in need this Christmas.
The collection will run until Thursday 15 December and kind-hearted locals wanting to donate can drop their unwrapped gifts to the collection point in-store.
A word from the store director
‘We’re so proud to be supporting Salvation Army for the fifth year in a row, and we hope the Sutton Coldfield community can continue the generosity shown in the past four years,’ said store director Tim Goodhew. ‘Christmas is a time for sharing, and it’s heartening to think that we are helping to spread a little Christmas cheer to those families in need.
‘We are collecting gifts for children up to the age of 16 – Salvation Army suggests toys, puzzles, books, games, winter warmers, toiletries and electronics as a great place to start if you are stuck for ideas. We always get a great range of donations, so please know that your gift, whatever it is, will be greatly appreciated.’
