Staff from Specsavers Sutton Coldfield, who have been supporting the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal for the past five years, are proud to hand over their biggest donation of gifts yet.
For the fifth year in a row, the team at Specsavers in the Red Rose Centre were asking kind-hearted customers to support the cause which collects toys and gifts for children and families in need this Christmas.
A word from the store director
Store director, Tim Goodhew was overwhelmed with the response: ‘We can’t believe how many people in the Sutton Coldfield community got involved and donated to this year’s Christmas appeal. We’re delighted to be handing over these gifts and the Salvation Army has let us know that they will be going to women and families in Sutton Coldfield who are victims of domestic violence. We hope that these gifts can bring a smile to their faces – a big thank you to everyone that donated.’
The Salvation Army Band came along to support the collection by playing carols outside the store, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the Specsavers team and passers-by.
