The team at Specsavers in Sutton Coldfield have offered their support to the local food bank drive carried out by Sutton Coldfield United Reformed Church, with donations of emergency food supplies for those in need in the community.

Generous response

The store has received numerous donations of non-perishable food items from customers, such as dried pasta, rice, tins and jars of food, biscuits, soups and other long-life items, which are then sorted into emergency food bundles by volunteers.

A word from the store director

‘We have been absolutely overwhelmed by how many people have donated food for those in need,’ commented store director, Tim Goodhew. ‘Last week the team donned their favourite festive jumpers, with everyone who got involved required to donate food items instead of money, which was a great success.

‘We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has made a donation so far, and would also like to encourage more people to visit the store and continue to help us make a difference in the Sutton Coldfield community.’
