The team as Specsavers Lichfield swapped uniforms for PJs on 12 December raising more than £375 for the Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes (SSBB).

The team tempted visitors with baked treats and offered specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) all in return for donations to the emergency motorbike service. The SSBB, run entirely by volunteers, helps to transport urgent, life-saving medical supplies to hospitals across the region.

Store director, Praful Patel, said: ‘We’ve been supporting the Blood Bike volunteers for a few months now as we really value the work they do.  We thought it was apt to dress in our pyjamas to raise awareness of the journeys the volunteers make, often riding at night, and are delighted to have raised so much – thanks to everyone for their support.’
