Supporting Road Safety

19 November, 2015

Specsavers in Guernsey is giving away 300 high-visibility vests to help keep children safe during the dark winter months.

Store staff have already given away 170 vests to Year 1 and 2 pupils at Vauvert Primary school. The rest will be given away during Road Safety Week (23-29 November) in goody bags outside the store.

Store director Sarah Burchett says: ‘The dark nights and poor weather mean that road conditions are more treacherous during the winter months so we want to do our bit to help keep children safe when they are out and about and make them more visible to other road users.’

Specsavers is the co-sponsor of Road Safety Week, which is organised by the charity Brake.
