Specsavers in Ashford was paid a visit by a furry friend to raise awareness of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Several months of charity fundraising

Specsavers, located at County Square, hosted a visit from a local guide dog to further encourage donations, following several months of fundraising for the charity.

Specsavers Ashford store director, Catherine McVicker says: ‘We’re keen to support Guide Dogs’ work by doing what we can to raise money.

‘It’s always a pleasure having a guide dog in store and it is a great way to encourage people to make a donation. We’ve raised a total of £140 so far and want to hit a target of £200 by September. We’d like to invite our Ashford community to come and donate so that the charity can continue its work helping those who are blind and partially sighted.’
