Support for Demelza in Dartford
The team at Specsavers in Dartford has raised £450 by doing the KM Charity Walk, with staff pumping iron in store to support their colleagues.
Testing strength for donations
From 22 to 27 June, Specsavers, located on 54 High Street, saw staff test their strength by lifting weights in store each day and hitting a target of 2,000 reps overall at the end of the week. They also cycled as far as they could on an exercise bike and donned their best and brightest sports gear to encourage sponsorship donations from the community.
Eight team members took part in the five-mile KM Charity Walk on Sunday 28 June to raise money for Demelza Hospice Care for Children and the children’s road safety department at the KM Charity Team.
Fantastic fundraising efforts
Specsavers Dartford store director, Kam Singh said: ‘We raised a total of £450 for Demelza Hospice Care for Children and the KM Charity Group through the walk.
The team did a fantastic job with their fundraising efforts throughout the week and motivating each other on the day. Thank you to our Dartford community for supporting us and helping us raise this money for two incredible charities.’
