Specsavers are supporting Comic Relief for the third time this year, and the stores across Sussex are getting in on the act by selling comedy glasses which are sure to raise a smile.
The glasses are just £2 a pair, and all proceeds go to the charity for use by projects all around the world – including right here in Sussex.
Helping local causes
In recent years, Comic Relief has supported a number of projects in Sussex. These include Brighton Table Tennis Club, which has received support for schemes helping vulnerable women and children at risk of being excluded from school.
The charity has also backed local charities supporting homeless and transgender young people, and projects supporting victims of domestic abuse.
Over the last two Comic Relief appeals, Specsavers have raised over £800,000 for the charity. This year stores hope to raise £250,000, taking them to an ambitious target of over £1million raised in total.
So if you want to give your friends and family (and yourself) a laugh for a good cause, why not pop down to your local Specsavers store in Sussex today.
