Customers visiting a Specsavers Ludlow couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw the staff dressed as their favourite superheroes.

The team at the store donned capes and masks to mark their seventh anniversary in the town and to raise money for their local branch of Hope House Children’s Hospice.

The charity provides specialist nursing care and support to life-limited children and young people from Shropshire and the surrounding areas.

Nicola Aubrey, store director at Specsavers in Ludlow, said: ‘We decided to do something different to mark seven years in Ludlow, while using the opportunity to fundraise for Hope House, one of our chosen local charities.

We ran a tombola with prizes including a gift voucher for a pair of designer specs and raised £52 so thank you to everyone that came down.’
