This year a Dingwall opticians is celebrating its eighth birthday and to mark this special occasion the store team has pledged to raise £1,000 for Cancer Research by hosting various fundraisers throughout its birthday year.
Giving something back to the community
Store director at Specsavers Dingwall, Gavin Wreath said: ‘We wanted to mark our birthday year by giving something back to the community and supporting a charity which affects so many of us.
‘We would like to thank our customers for their loyalty and support across the years – we are so pleased to see that many locals have been with us since our opening days and we welcome new visitors regularly.
‘We would also like to thank everyone for their support and donations at our spring events as we edge closer to our birthday year fundraising target.’
Spring fundraising success
The first event to kick start this fundraising year was a cake sale of home-baked delights made by the store team. The high street opticians also held a ‘guess how many sweeties are in the jar’ competition where one lucky local won an array of sweet treats.
The spring fundraisers continued this month as the store team donned capes and masks to impersonate their favourite superheroes and villains for the day, whilst collecting donations for Cancer Research.
Specsavers Dingwall spring fundraisers have raised £140 so far for Cancer Research.
