Elgin eyecare specialists are urging people in the town to take care of their eyes this summer.
The team at Specsavers in the town hopes locals will invest in quality sunglasses to protect their sight in the better weather – whether they’re holidaying at home or abroad.
A word of advice from the store director
Peter Taylor, store director at Specsavers in Elgin, said: ‘It’s really important that we protect our eyes against the sun’s harmful rays. ‘We encourage customers to select sunglasses which bear the CE kite mark, indicated by labelling with the mark UV 400.
‘UV rays can cause eye irritation and, in extreme cases, permanent damage so we aim to ensure people are aware of the best options. Just pop into the store for one-to-one advice.’
