Specsavers Manchester Fort Shopping Park hosted a summer event last month to promote its wide range of designer sunglasses and to provide advice for local people about wearing prescription and non-prescription sunglasses.
A wide range of designer frames
Sunglasses, by a range of designers including Cheap Monday, Puma, Karen Millen and Love Moschino are currently on sale at the store and can be made bespoke to most prescriptions, including bi-focal and varifocals.
Manchester Fort Specsavers held the event to raise awareness of the sunglasses it stocks and also the expert care it is able to provide for those wearing prescription sunglasses in the sun.
A fun-filled day celebrating summer
The event was well-timed, as many local people are now preparing for holidays abroad and the summer months, and to mark the start of summer staff will be handing out branded beach balls to customers.
To celebrate summer fun even further, the store hired jugglers and stilt walkers, who performed in front of the store to attract customers inside.
Lots of great sunglasses deals
The store is also currently running its 2-4-1 glasses deal, where those buying a pair of frames from £69 and above will be eligible for a pair of free sunglasses. Visitors to the store can also take advantage of the store’s free eye test offer.
Peter Dodd, retail director at the store said: ‘We get a lot of interest in our sunglasses – with so many designer names to choose from, they have become very popular, especially at this time of year. Still, lots of people are unaware we sell such a wide range of sunglasses.
‘The team is always on hand to discuss all types of requirements, including bifocals, varifocals and even non-prescription sunglasses, which are often popular with our customers who use contact lenses.
He continues: ‘These events are a great way for us to get to know local people and also spread knowledge of our optical expertise in the area.’
