Champion boxer Carl Frampton joined Specsavers Victoria Square store director Neal Kerr to present St Matthew’s Primary School pupil Ellie Frances Turley with her NI4Kids Reading Corner prize.

Ellie’s prize winning book review appeared in NI4Kids and in addition to a book token for herself Ellie won £100 of Scholastic vouchers for her school, St Matthew’s PS located in Short Strand Belfast.

Run with the wind

Ellie reviewed Irish writer Tom McCaughren’s wildlife story, Run with the Wind about the adventures of foxes as they search for survival and her story appeared in the summer issue of NI4Kids.

Reading is vital

Congratulating Ellie, Neal Kerr, store director at newly opened Specsavers in Victoria Square said, ‘Specsavers is delighted to support NI4Kids Reading Corner. It’s vitally important for young people to read as much as possible and enjoy a wide variety of books.’

Each issue of NI4Kids features a book review linked to each of the 18 Specsavers stores in Northern Ireland. Specsavers is also backing NI4Kids Family Awards 2016 by sponsoring the Coach/Tutor of the Year Award.
