The team at Specsavers in Stratford-upon-Avon are proving they are all heart by paying for a defibrillator to be installed outside a local bowling club.
The store has funded the lifesaving equipment, which has been positioned outside the Avon Bowling Club, based at the recreation ground on the banks of the River Avon.
‘As a local business, trading in the town for more than 21 years, we are very much about looking after the heart of our community – and this latest activity is actually quite a literal take on our commitment!’ said Paul Griffiths, store director.
‘As sponsors of the Avon Bowling Club we were keen to help with the funding of this vital piece of equipment. Of course, we hope it’s not needed, but it’s reassuring to know it’s there as a potential life saver (if needed).’
Avon Bowling Club, which supports various local charities, is open to all residents and holds regular community bowling nights to encourage people to have a go at the sport. Visit avonbowlingclub.org.uk to find out more.
