Stranraer joins fight against cancer
The local opticians is raising money to support individuals and families living with cancer.
From Thursday 21 January, the George Street store will be selling unity bands to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. The Unity Band™ is used to celebrate survival, show solidarity for those in treatment and remember loved ones.
Bands will be on sale in store until the end of March. Staff will also be dressed in pink on 4 February to mark World Cancer Day.
Store director Elaine Hawthorn said: ‘Breast Cancer Care is a charity that means something to everyone who works in the store and it’s very important to us to raise money for such a worthy cause.
‘We hope that customers will pop into the store to help us raise money for a great cause.’
