A High Wycombe opticians will be hosting free children’s storytelling sessions during the spring school holidays.
The team from Specsavers in White Hart Street will be setting up a storytelling corner in store for young visitors from Monday 4 April until Friday 8 April.
There, they will perform readings of the Julia Donaldson classic, The Gruffalo, throughout the week. Also on hand will be a range of Gruffalo-themed activities, including colouring sheets and Gruffalo masks.
A word from the store director
Trisha Patel, store director at Specsavers in High Wycombe, said: ‘The Gruffalo is a modern classic and as we’re launching a new range of children’s Gruffalo specs in store, we thought it would be a lovely opportunity to do something special for kids in the area.
‘As eyecare experts, we understand the importance of good vision in supporting children’s literacy and encourage all parents to bring their children for regular eye tests from the age of four. Should they require prescription specs, these are available in store to all children through the NHS - and now they can choose from a range of popular Gruffalo designs.
‘We look forward to welcoming little ones to store over the spring holidays and hope parents take the opportunity to book them in for a free eye test with our team while they enjoy the festivities.’
