The Specsavers team in Ripley has thanked the Mayor of Ripley Town Council for welcoming the new store to the town with a £100 donation to his chosen charity, the Ripley Hospital League of Friends.
Councillor Roland Emmas-Williams officially opened the Ripley store in August this year. The team were so grateful for the Mayor’s support and kind words that they invited him back to accept a £100 donation on behalf of the Ripley Hospital League of Friends.
Kuldip Dosanjh, store director, said: ‘The Mayor was an absolute pleasure to spend time with and he made a lovely speech welcoming us to the town. We wanted to find a way to thank him for his support and kind words and thought that making a donation to his official charity would be the best way to do that.’
Councillor Roland Emmas-Williams said: ‘On behalf of the Ripley Hospital League of Friends, I would like to thank Specsavers for their kind donation. The money will go towards future projects.’
