Emma Ford of the Winsford team was pleasantly surprised as a grateful customer brought her flowers and chocolates to thank her for her friendly and professional service in the store.

The customer praised Emma for being 'wonderful' during a routine eye test and decided to repay the favour with some lovely gifts.

Specsavers Lion Yard in Cambridge has won a second mystery shopper award from the Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) for excelling in customer service. 

Over 180 businesses within the area took part in the programme to be recognised among the best in Cambridge for providing outstanding customer service.

Specsavers in the Lion Yard Shopping Centre was acknowledged along with eight other businesses at the Cambridge Union Society, where the winners were announced.

Halloween trick or treating outside Specsavers Horsham

Ghosts and ghouls were out in force at Specsavers Horsham this Halloween – but there was no need for customers to be afraid.

The store, in West Street, was taking part in the traditional Horsham town centre trick or treat trail.

Trick or treat

Organised by Horsham Rotary Club, the town trail takes place each October half term. Kids are invited to pop into participating stores to choose a Halloween card to find out whether they will be performing a trick or getting a sweet treat.

Specsavers in Wishaw has sponsored Lanarkshire fitness company FerriFit

The Wishaw store has teamed up with a Lanarkshire fitness company to help put teams of budding athletes through their paces.

Fitness classes and bootcamps for all

The store sponsored Motherwell-based FerriFit as it supported groups of fitness enthusiasts taking part in long-distance obstacle races Tough Mudder and Rough Runner earlier this year.

FerriFit runs classes and bootcamps for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Blind Veterans UK logo

The Blackpool team recently announced their support for Graham, a blind veteran who took part in a march at the Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday with the charity Blind Veterans UK.

Graham Ward from Fleetwood, attended the commemoration, joined by 100 other veterans, hosted by Blind Veteran’s UK.

Specsavers in Warrington can now provide eye health services to help manage a number of eye conditions, allowing customers to avoid the wait for GP or hospital appointments for this type of care.

Anyone experiencing pain, discomfort, redness, sudden changes or flashes of light in their vision, among other symptoms, can access these services.

Appointments can be booked at short notice with availability seven days a week.

A young boy from Warrington was chosen as one of 24 medallists at this years British Citizen Youth Awards, sponsored by Specsavers.

Ted McCaffery was honoured for his incredible efforts at a formal presentation held at the Palace of Westminster.

A staggering amount for charity

10 year old Ted has been fundraising since the age of just three when he took part in the Manchester Fun Run for Cancer Research in memory of his aunt and grandmother. To date he has raised a staggering £85,000.

The new audiology director at Specsavers in Guildford was delighted to meet Mayor, Cllr Nigel Manning recently and discuss how the store's extended hearcare services will be meeting the needs of the local community.

Guildford now has official hearcare hub status which means accessibility to its hearcare services have been extended further in response to customer demand.
