Stirring up funds for Macmillan
The team at Newcastle-under-Lyme will be aiming to hone their best Mary Berry skills on 25 September as they support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Staff will be baking up a storm and inviting customers to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake in return for a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.
‘The team is really looking forward to donning chef’s hats and will all be trying to produce the best bake,’ said Peter Harvey, store director. ‘It’s always really good fun and we hope that our customers will be as wonderfully generous as they have been each year so far.’
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s largest annual fundraising event, encouraging people to come together to enjoy a treat while raising money for the charity. Providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support, Macmillan is there for the more than 2.5 million cancer sufferers in the UK and their families.
