Kingston clinical assistant Stephanie Hunt is celebrating a new professional accreditation

Kingston clinical assistant Stephanie Hunt is celebrating after completing further optical training in the field of contact lenses.

Stephanie, who joined the team in Kingston in August 2009, successfully received Cert 3 contact lens accreditation in May 2016, and is also undertaking an enhanced ocular services course.

Cert 3 qualifications are designed for those within the optical profession to progress and further their knowledge and career.

A word from Stephanie

Stephanie said: 'Not only am I interested in building on my existing clinical knowledge, but increasing my overall knowledge of the world of optics. “It’s wonderful to have these opportunities to develop my skillset.'

Guy Loveday, store director at Specsavers in Kingston upon Thames, said: 'Congratulations to Stephanie, who has impressed us greatly with her drive to learn more and do more in store.

'I find continual training really keeps our team motivated and passionate about their roles. After all, it’s great to finish a day knowing you’ve learned something new.'
