Stormtroopers and Darth Maul appeared Specsavers Star Wars Day
The Force was at Thetford Specsavers.

Thetford residents had stars in their eyes when the opticians invited Star Wars Stormtroopers to their newly refurbished store.

Customers to the Riverside Walk store were greeted by the famous galactic foot-soldiers as part of a fun day to celebrate the new look store, while raising funds for the store’s nominated charity - East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

Store director, Paul Clark says: ‘The event was a great opportunity for people to see for themselves what glasses and eye health services we offer. We can now stock an even bigger selection of designer frames including Replay, GW by Gok Wan, Osiris, John Rocha, Karen Millen and of course Star Wars glasses for kids.

'Our store refit includes a new layout which has been designed to improve the customer's experience. A new testing room has been built bringing the total to three meaning the store will be able to offer faster appointment waiting times for eye tests, contact lens appointments and hearing tests.’

In addition to the Stormtroopers, local glasses wearers were able to take advantage of specs MOTs, with cleaning, adjustments and minor repairs in exchange for donations to the children’s hospices.
