Staff don PJs for Children in Need
The team at Specsavers in Swansea held a pyjama day to raise money for Children in Need.
Members of staff at the store on The Kingsway wore their best Minions-themed bedtime outfits to work to raise money for its chosen charity.
They dressed as the popular characters who found fame in the hugely successful ‘Despicable Me’ children’s film franchise.
The staff raised more than £55 through the fundraising activity to support the work of Children in Need.
‘A fantastic charity’
The work of Children in Need is UK-wide and aims to provide grants to projects that work with disadvantaged children and young people. It supports small and large organisations that empower children and extend their life choices.
Stephen Jones, director of Specsavers in Swansea, said: ‘Children in Need is a fantastic charity that supports young people in Wales and the UK to alleviate some of the pressures that they may face.
‘The charity works to give children the opportunity to have a positive childhood, organising programmes such as music workshops and supportive homework clubs, so it’s a really great cause that the store is proud to be involved with.
‘Our customers loved seeing all the staff at the store in their Minions pyjamas supporting the day and we’d like to thank them for their generous donations.’
