An optical assistant at the Newbury store has gone the extra mile to support customers with autism by taking part in an autism awareness course.
Improving customer care
Reece Eaton completed the course which was developed with The National Autistic Society and is being rolled out by Specsavers.
Reece said: ‘I really enjoyed taking part in the training. It’s so important for us to provide the best care to customers with autism to make sure their experience in store is as good as anyone else’s.’
A word from the store director
Alison Rosum, store director in Newbury, added: ‘Providing the best care to customers is of paramount importance, and we are always looking for ways to improve.
‘We’re thrilled that Reece has passed the training as this means we are now ‘autism friendly'.
'He is now far better equipped to ensure that autistic customers have a positive experience when they visit us, and that they feel comfortable in the store environment.’
