Staff celebrate a combined 50 years of service

Four members of staff at the Lanark opticians have been recognised for their long service.

Half a century of service

The group have worked at Specsavers on the town’s High Street for a total of 50 years.

Christine Moffat, supervisor and senior dispenser, has 25 years under her belt; lab manager Graham Waddel and lab technician Hazel Andrew are celebrating 10 years at the store; and clinical supervisor Ashley Ross is marking five years.

The long-serving staff members were presented with certificates and flowers by store director Rubena Kerr. Christine was also awarded an overnight trip to Gleneagles for two, including a spa day, while Hazel and Graham were also awarded trips to Gleneagles for their hard work and dedication.

Christine said: ‘I’m very proud to have been part of the team at Specsavers ever since the store opened in Lanark.

‘I’ve seen lots of positive changes over the years - the highlight was moving to our fantastic, bigger store several years ago.’

Superb long-standing team

Rubena added: ‘I am delighted to have a superb, long-standing team with so many staff members who have clocked up a great number of years’ service.

‘We held a certificate ceremony to celebrate the milestones of four of our fabulous staff and mark their outstanding achievements and service to the community.’
