Six members of staff from the Forfar opticians have raised more than £250 for Help for Heroes by completing a Tough Mudder Half challenge.
Challenging endurance event
The Specsavers team travelled to Dumfries and Galloway to take part in the renowned endurance event which included more than 14 challenging obstacles over five muddy miles.
Store director Blair Michie, who completed the obstacle course alongside his colleagues, said: ‘It was a pleasure to raise money for such a fantastic charity while taking part in Tough Mudder.
‘The challenge definitely lived up to its name - it wasn’t easy - but we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were spurred on knowing we had the support of our colleagues and customers in Forfar.’
Prizes up for grabs
The store also held a raffle to help raise funds, with a selection of prizes on offer including prescription and non-prescription sunglasses and a signed print from the Red Arrows Display Team.
Help for Heroes is the official charity partner of Tough Mudder. Donations fund projects that directly help wounded, injured and sick members of the armed forces to recover and return to the forces or transition to civilian life.
