Local opticians chose to glow in support of the Guide Dogs charity.
The staff at Specsavers in St.Neots donned their brightest neon attire as they layed on a spread of delicious baked treats to raise vital funds during Guide Dogs week.
As well as the glowing clothing there was a bake sale from which all proceeds were donated to help the charity. They have also been selling Guide Dog badges and distributing informative leaflets about the charity’s work to raise awareness of the importance of Guide Dogs for the blind and visually impaired which has resulted in a fantastic £200 collection.
Store Director, Henry Churchill, said: ‘We are very proud to support the Guide Dogs charity and we have really enjoyed raising money to help them. Guide dogs are extremely important in serving the blind and visually impaired and in many instances, they help to provide a level of normality in day to day life.
‘Unfortunately we are all guilty of taking our sight for granted from time to time and it is therefore vital that we highlight the work carried out by the charity and to show that we all need to work together to support the charity and the visually impaired community.’
