Specsavers St Albans once again supported Comic Relief this year, selling funny frames in-store, much to the delight of customers!
How does Specsavers support the charity?
It is the third Red Nose Day Specsavers has supported by launching the frames, with this year’s red glasses jester theme in keeping with the charity’s comical ethos.
Since 2015, Specsavers stores have been raising funds for Comic Relief, and this year, stores smashed the £1million fundraising mark.
The Comic Relief frames were sold at £2 each, with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity.
A word from the store director
Store director Lewis Carroll says: ‘Our glasses this year were fantastic and we are so grateful to everyone who popped in to see us over the past couple of weeks to pick up a jester-themed pair for themselves. We are really proud to support Comic Relief and all the good causes they fund.’
A word from Comic Relief
Catherine Cottrell, fundraising and partnerships executive director at Comic Relief, adds: ‘We are so pleased to have Specsavers continual support. It was great to see people having fun wearing their Comic Relief specs to help us raise much-needed funds on Red Nose Day.’
