The team from Bicester Specsavers ditched their uniforms in favour of spookier apparel this Halloween, serving homemade cakes and sweets in aid of Camren’s Steps, a charity that supports a young boy from Oxfordshire diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy.

A word from the store director

‘Camren’s Steps is our nominated charity for 2016, and this was another opportunity for the team to dress up and fundraise for the cause,’ said store director Sarah Marshall. ‘The charity is trying to raise £65,000 so that five-year-old Camren Haines can undergo a life-changing operation over in America. His condition means that he suffers from regular muscle spasms and can’t live an independent life. We raised nearly £100 on the day, so are delighted to donate all the proceeds from Halloween, and are committed to fundraising as much as possible.’

The store has hosted a series of activities to help Camren’s Steps reach their goal, including a buffet dinner event and charity auction.
