Specsavers in Bath has signed a two-year deal to become the official partner of one of Bath’s leading amateur rugby clubs, Walcot Rugby Football Club.

Two year sponsorship deal

The store has signed the sponsorship deal, enabling the club to purchase branded kit for the first and second teams, new merchandise and post pads. The store’s support will also help with the upkeep of the pitch, as well as the proposed extension of the club house and gym in 2018.

Local community support

Simon Chambers, Walcot Rugby Football Club chairman, said: ‘We’re delighted that Specsavers has stepped forward as the official sponsor for the next two years. Their support will go a long way in benefiting the players, as well as those in the local community who enjoy the club and all it offers.’

A word from the store director

Store director, Phil Lodge, said: ‘We’re thrilled to be affiliated with Walcot Rugby Football Club and their longstanding history within Bath. This partnership gives us the chance to engage in the active and thriving rugby community and to have a positive impact of the health and wellbeing of its members.

'We’re really looking forward to the next two years as their sponsor and hope to carry on the partnership for many years to come!’
