‘We wish the team every success with the new season and will be keeping a close eye on their progress in the league.’
Gary Greenwood, team manager of Montrose Youth FC 2001, said: ‘On behalf of our players and coaches, I’d like to thank Specsavers in Montrose for its support. The new kit, which the sponsorship has enabled us to buy, has really motivated our players by helping them look and feel like a proper team.
‘Having the opportunity to regularly participate in a team sport helps our youngsters develop some key life skills including the importance of teamwork and learning to win and lose graciously.
‘We have a busy start to the season with three games in five days, commencing on Friday evening but the whole squad is ready to go!’
