The team from Specsavers in Gloucester and Cheltenham are proud to announce that they will be sponsoring the Cheltenham and Gloucester Cricket Association (CGCA) Junior Leagues for the 2017 season.
A word from the store director
‘We are thrilled to come on board as sponsors of the CGCA youth leagues together with our colleagues over at Specsavers in Cheltenham,’ said store director, Paul Chessell. ‘The Cricket Association is a great example of the fantastic groups that we have on offer locally and we look forward to nurturing young talent and encouraging others to get involved.’
Specsavers Cheltenham store director, Melanie Brackstone, adds: ‘We’re always excited to be supporting the health and development of our young people in the community and think this is a great opportunity to do so.’
Crucial to development of youngsters
Craig Hayward, youth co-ordinator for the junior leagues, confirmed that the sponsorship will be used to support the purchase of league trophies as well as enabling the association to offer grants to help support clubs in the cost of training coaches, something which is crucial in the development of youth cricket.
The CGCA provide cricket for boys and girls aged from 9 to 17 in the local area.
