Specsavers TV star to shake up shoppers in Oxford
The star of a well-known Specsavers TV commercial will be encouraging shoppers in Oxford to take part in a high-energy workout this Saturday (4).
Shake your stuff
Hayley-Jo Whitney, who played the role of a short-sighted fitness teacher accidently performing at a bingo evening for the elderly, will be performing outside the Westgate Shopping Centre, Oxford on Saturday from 10am – 3pm.
Shoppers are invited to join in the fun routine, which just like the TV ad will be to the soundtrack of catchy pop song ‘Sexy And I Know It’, and feature movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance.
Bag some goodies
Specsavers staff will also be treating passersby to goody bags and free sight test vouchers to help raise awareness of the importance of regular eye examinations.
Abby Jobson, store director at Specsavers Oxford, says: ‘We’re really looking forward to welcoming Hayley-Jo into the store and shaking up the shopping centre. Eye examinations are hugely important for your overall health and hopefully this will help us to raise awareness.
‘Seeing a celebrity break out into dance isn’t something you see every day and I’m sure many shoppers will recognise her from the Specsavers TV advert. If you’re in a dancing mood or fancy some fun and freebies make sure you head down to the Westgate Shopping Centre on Saturday.’
