Specsavers Stirling achieves Investors in People accreditation
Specsavers in Stirling has been awarded the Investors in People Gold Accreditation, the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the UK, for their commitment to personnel development.
Committed to employees
The store received the award for its true commitment to employees and for demonstrating a solid foundation of good practice. Achieving the Gold level of accreditation puts Specsavers in Stirling in the top seven per cent of all IIP-accredited businesses.
The store joins an exclusive group of UK employers eligible to use and display the sought after Investors in People logo and plaque, and enjoy its benefits.
Commenting on the award, Susanne Akil, store director at Specsavers in Stirling, said: ‘It is with great pride that the store has been re-accredited with such a prestigious award, and we are delighted to have achieved the Gold standard – a level that not many businesses can boast.
It is highly gratifying to have the work that we do every day recognised by such a reputable body, and we will continue to maintain this high standard as the business continues to thrive.
We know the importance of nurturing great staff on an everyday basis to be the best we can be, and the accreditation reaffirms our dedication to this.’
Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, said: ‘This is a fantastic achievement for Specsavers in Stirling. I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement.
Investors in People offers a flexible, practical and easy to use business improvement tool designed to help organisations and their people achieve their objectives. I hope that more organisations in the area will be encouraged to sharpen their competitive edge by choosing to work with us.’
The store, which has 40 staff, was previously awarded silver accreditation in 2012. Since then, the store has been committed to the recruitment and development of staff, while undergoing a store refit to ensure the highest caliber of facilities are available.
