Staff at Specsavers Skegness donned our fanciest red costumes for a week of fundraising in support of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2019.
The team raised more than £800
Truly getting into the Red Nose Day spirit, the team dressed in bright red for the day to raise money for good causes. From cherry to rose-red, there was certainly a diverse range of outfits which included Red Riding Hood, Teletubbies’ Po and even a red crayon
The amount raised on the day itself went into the store’s Comic Relief pot, which already had hundreds of pounds donated through the sale of Red Nose Day glasses. In total, customers and staff raised £800 throughout a month of fundraising.
A word from the director
Specsavers Skegness Retail Director, Philip Drake, comments: ‘Specsavers has long been a champion of Comic Relief, and it’s certainly a very significant part of the year when it comes to our fundraising efforts in Skegness. The staff can’t wait for it to come round every year
‘It was great to see just how creative the staff’s costume efforts were and they must have been a hit with customers given how generous they were with donations.’
