Specsavers is encouraging its customers and members of the local communities to keep their eyes peeled for festive male voice choirs that are performing outside stores throughout November and December.
Traditional Welsh hymns and carols
Performing traditional Welsh hymns and carols, as part of one-off four-hour concerts, the choirs will visit Specsavers’ 37 stores across south Wales to build on the excitement ahead of the biggest holiday of the year.
The start of the Christmas Choir campaign coincides with Children’s Eye Health Month (24 October – 23 November), and as part of the performances, money will be raised for the children’s hospice, Tŷ Hafan.
Specsavers announced its partnership with Tŷ Hafan in September, kicking off the year-long commitment with a generous donation of £10,958, the amount it costs the charity to provide 24 hours of care.
Paul Molton, east Wales regional chair of Specsavers, said: ‘Wales is heralded as a nation of great singers, so we’re inviting members of the public to get into the festive spirit and enjoy what we hope will be brilliant performances.
‘We hope that the choir’s performances in the coming months will not only spread goodwill at a special time of the year but also inspire people to donate to a wonderful Welsh charity.’
