Sue Caskey, store director at Specsavers Wokingham, completed the 50k Thames Path Challenge on 9 September 2017 in aid of breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk.

Raising Funds

With the support of the team at Specsavers, Sue successfully managed to raise £500 for the charity, which has been raising funds for women with breast cancer for over 21 years.

The challenge was to walk from Staines to Henley, come rain or shine, which was a total distance of 50k. Sue and thousands of other walkers took on the task in their bras or in charity t-shirts.

Team support

Sue Caskey, store director at Specsavers Wokingham, said: ‘Successfully completing the Thames Path Challenge has been a goal of mine for a while, and I am incredibly pleased to have finished the 50k.

‘Knowing that I was doing it for the wonderful Walk the Walk charity really spurred me on when it got tough. My team at Specsavers have also been a great help, they’ve been such a huge support. ‘

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me raise money for the charity, it’s going to such a brilliant cause.’
