Now locals can benefit from affordable optical and audiology services thanks to the arrival of their very own, new Specsavers store.

Open for business

The store opened towards the end of December and customers have been voting with their feet.  Suffice to say, the team has been overwhelmed by the support and have been very busy servicing customers young and old with varying needs - be it new, fashionable designer frames to contact lens advice and audiology services.

Pop by to say a hello

The friendly team is located at 411 Wimborne Road and are more than happy to show you around their £250,000 store that is home to the latest innovations in the industry.

Here, you can see the quality range of fashionable frames on display that includes top designer brands such as an exclusive Kylie Minogue frame collection, Balmain, Hackett, Timberland and Superdry. Little VIPs will love the Disney ranges, a Minions eyewear collection and a brand new Crayloa line that is debuting end of this month.

A word from the store director

Andreas Booth with partner Tim Finch are delighted to finally have a store in the area. Andreas Booth, retail director, said: 'Our research flagged Winton as a community in need of our services.

'What we bring to the area is a local team with local knowledge and a real focus on personal customer care. Myself and Tim own the business but can offer customers really competitive prices thanks to the global buying power that Specsavers offers.'

He continues: 'Their buying team is always on the hunt for the latest materials, designer looks and hot new names on a worldwide scale to stock in branches like ours. This means communities like Winton have the best of both worlds - a local optician vibe with a fantastic array of products and innovations at year-round low prices.'

Thank you for your warm welcome

Andreas concludes: 'We have been delighted with the welcome we have received from everyone and thank you for your support.  One month in, and Winton already feels like home!'
