Specsavers Wimbledon has gained a new customer Monica after she was incredibly impressed that staff at the store managed to repair and straighten out a pair of bent, glasses that had been damaged as a result of a fall.

Unfortunately Monica’s glasses were knocked to the floor when she unexpectedly tripped and fell over in Wimbledon High Street in January 2021. Normally Monica wears contact lenses, however because of an eye condition she had to rely on the glasses. So she took them to two other local opticians in the High Street, however neither of them were able to straighten out the frames.

Even though Monica wasn’t a Specsavers customer, Jasleen Khurana, Specsavers Wimbledon Dispensing Optician spent time resolving the issue as the store has an on-site laboratory, so has the facilities to be able to carry out the repairs.

Monica paid tribute to the team andsaid; ‘The fantastic teamat the Wimbledon store were amazing and did their best to help me. They fixed my glasses, despite me not being a Specsavers customer, and now they are as good as new! I will be moving my business to Specsavers in future, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you, to the two amazing staff that assisted me. Truly great service, thank you!'

Richard Sandiford, Director Optometrist commented; ‘We were delighted that we could assist Monica and fix the damaged frames. We have a dedicated and highly experienced team who are able to offer our customers solutions to any issues they may encounter.’ We pride ourselves on offering a highly professional service to our customers and we look forward to welcoming Monica in store.’
