£350k investment opens new Welshpool store
A new opticians in Welshpool will open its doors in January, following a £350,000 investment.
Optometrist David Dunlop opens Specsavers in Mill Lane Retail Park, which has created four new jobs and seen significant investment to open and equip the store with the latest in optical and audiology technology.
The 1,500 square foot unit will house three test rooms, including a soundproof room for its audiology customers.
Serving loyal customers on ‘home turf’
‘There has been a demand for a Welshpool store for some time now,’ explained Mr Dunlop, who opened his first Specsavers store in Newtown 11 years ago.
‘We have a loyal customer base who have travelled to the Newtown store for our services, so it will be great to be able to serve them, and our new customers, on their home turf.
'We’re a community-focussed business that prides itself on delivering the highest professional standards and look forward to welcoming members of the Welshpool community into our store.’
The Specsavers store will be open six days a week and will house more than 1,000 frames, including brands such as Cath Kidson, Kylie Minogue, Converse and Superdry.
