Time to book your eye test
Staff at Specsavers in Wellington are encouraging locals to get their eyes tested, especially if they are avid book lovers.
The optical team is keen to reach out to book worms who may not have had their eyes tested yet. For those who experience tiredness or headaches when reading or need a brighter light to read it may be time for an appointment at Specsavers.
A word from the store director
‘Eye tests play a huge part in making sure your eyes stay healthy. Not only are they important for indicating whether you need to start wearing glasses or need to change your prescription, but also for detecting some common medical conditions,’ says store director, Satinder Sidhu.
‘If you need glasses for reading, we can help pick a style to suit you. Attempting to read without glasses if you need them will simply strain your eyes and tire them out.’
Importance of regular eye tests
Specsavers recommends that you book an eye test at least once every two years. However, if you notice any difference in your vision, fall into a certain age group, or have started experiencing other symptoms it’s best to book an eye test appointment as soon as possible.
Satinder added: ‘Reading is such a great hobby, and for some people having glasses will make all the difference to their enjoyment of it. Getting your eyes tested can have a huge impact on quality of life.’
