Swanley supports local park in national awards
Swanley Park has been nominated by local people to receive a prestigious national award – and Specsavers Swanley are urging customers to back it by voting online.
The park, between Swanley and Hextable, has been nominated as the UK’s Best Park for 2017 – and will find out whether it has won at the end of the month.
Voting closes soon
It is one of more than 350 parks across the UK that have been nominated – 35 of which are in the South East. Votes need to be cast online by 5pm on Friday 3 November 2017.
Fields in Trust – the national charity running the awards – was set up to protect parks, playing fields and playgrounds across the UK.
Something for everyone
Ian Hyland, store director in Swanley, said: ‘We are blessed with a lot of beautiful outside spaces in Kent, and Swanley Park is one of them.
'It really does have something for everyone, from a miniature steam train to a great café to get a bacon sandwich in the morning. I would urge our customers to support their local park in these awards.’
