The team from Specsavers in Stratford-upon-Avon have shown a true sense of community by going above and beyond to help automotive artist, Reverend Adam Gompertz during his recent trip to the Festival of Motoring.

Above and beyond

Adam, a Shrewsbury local, was on hand for both days to sketch people’s cars, but when he was caught in rain showers that hampered his sketching skills, the team from Specsavers on Wood Street came to the rescue allowing him to finish his drawing from inside.

A word from the store director

Store director, Paul Griffiths said: ‘Adam was sitting across the road sketching a Jaguar E-type but it started to pour down, so he popped in to the store and asked if he could sit inside and sketch, which was no problem at all.

‘The team loved watching Adam at work, and after he finished his sketch he actually gave it to the store to keep, which was very generous of him. The Festival of Motoring is a great annual event and we were just happy to be able to help a visitor to our town.’
