Specsavers sponsored the very first Bubble Rush 5k fun run in Berkshire, with kind-hearted staff also taking part to raise funds for Thames Hospice.
Stores in Slough and Windsor supported the event by sponsoring one of the green bubble stations, which blasts participants from head to toe with coloured foam.
The two stores joined forces to become a main sponsor of the event, with many members of staff also taking on the colourful challenge to raise vital funds.
The event was Thames Hospice’s first Bubble Rush, with all money going to the local charity to help those living with life-limiting illnesses in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.
John Duminy, Specsavers Slough store director, said: ‘Thames Hospice is a wonderful charity within our community and we are very proud to have been part of the first Bubble Rush fun run. ‘The event was a huge success and fun was had by all.’
Rupal Patel, Specsavers Windsor retail director, said: ‘We wanted to go further than simply sponsoring the event so a number of our staff also decided to take on the challenge of running the 5k.
The Specsavers ‘super team’ was formed to inspire locals to take part in the race whilst digging deep for a charitable cause which is extremely close to our hearts.’
