A local Sittingbourne opticians and audiologists recently celebrated its anniversary, marking 20 years of service to the Sittingbourne community.
Specsavers in Sittingbourne opened in 1998, with store director David Moorman overseeing the operation. This was one of the first stores in the South East area and at the time featured one test room and four members of staff.
Providing quality service to local community
A quarter of a century later, David is still store director, together with Jia Chiang Cheong and Caroline Matthews, and the store has changed considerably. It now features a completely new design and four sight test rooms, one contact lens room, a hearcare room and 39 team members.
A word from the store director
David says: ‘It is impressive to see how far we have come. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing customers and staff.
‘Over the years we have strived to not only offer the best possible optical and hearing services, but also to play a vital role within our community, which has always supported us. We wouldn’t be celebrating this milestone if it wasn’t for them’.
To celebrate the store’s anniversary and the employees’ hard work, the store director bought a fantastic cake and held a day of celebrations in store.
