Seaford supports the British Citizen Youth Awards
Dame Mary Perkins

The team at Specsavers in Seaford believe there are lots of young local heroes in the town and is urging them to share their stories and win an award.

Specsavers in Seaford supports the cause

Dame Mary Perkins, founder of Specsavers, has a special request for Seaford.  She is a patron and supporter of the BCYA that stands for British Citizen Youth Awards and these awards are very close to her heart.

They celebrate and recognise the amazing achievements of young people who support the community, local charities and society as a whole - and she believes Seaford could have a great local hero to put forward for the prestigious award.

If you are selected as a winner, you could go on to attend a day at Palace of Westminster in October 2017, where Specsavers founder Dame Mary Perkins will present the medals to those individuals who have done amazing things for their communities.

It is really easy to apply too. The British Citizen Youth Award is open to all children who will be under the age of 16 in October 2017. To apply, please email jacquif@britishcitizenawards.co.uk with BCYA in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
