Fife Flyers players joined forces with Specsavers to look out for the safety of youngsters this winter as they gifted high visibility vests to fans.
Members of the Specsavers Dunfermline store team attended the Flyers game at home on Saturday 20 October against Nottingham Panthers, armed with reflective vests for young supporters.
The donation was made by Specsavers as part of its pledge to help children stay safe and be more visible to drivers when out in busy streets and public areas.
A word from the store director
Andrew Hepburn, store director at Specsavers Dunfermline, said: ‘We continually look for ways to give back to the local community and this donation is a fantastic way to help spread the road safety message.
‘It was great to cheer on the Flyers and our star player Chase Schaber for the game and then to support our community with the interval vest donations.’
Specsavers stores in Glenrothes, Leven and Dunfermline are part of Fife Flyers Great 8 sponsors this season. This is the third consecutive year the Glenrothes and Leven stores have supported the Flyers and 2018 sees the additional backing from Specsavers in Dunfermline.
