Romsey's charity feat
Specsavers in Romsey donned their walking boots on 8 October to raise money for charity.
Walk the Test Way
The team took part in a gruelling 25.5 miles walk - an event that the team decided to sponsor this year. Now in its 14th year, the Walk raises thousands of pounds each year for hundreds of charities.
Specsavers Romsey store director Eve Robertson says: 'As expected, it was tough but also great fun and an amazing team-building exercise for us all. We've been delighted with the donations received from friends and customers so far, and want to say a big thank you to everyone who made a pledge.'
Monies raised donated to Gift of Sight
The team walked over 170 miles between them and have raised £200 so far. Eve added: 'Being an opticians, it made sense for us to support a vision charity and Gift of Sight is one close to all our hearts. Their aim is to fund world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness. Knowing we have played our small part in supporting this charity has been very rewarding for all of us.
