The team at Specsavers Romford is full of talented people, male and female, all year round – and they all have a passion for keeping your eyes healthy.
Inspirational women in store
But, this International Women’s Day, the South Street store wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the inspirational female staff who are ready to help you out today – and to find out about the women who inspire them.
First up is Lesley Smith, an optical assistant who has worked at Specsavers Romford for seven and a half years. Her pet peeves are politics and a messy workplace (good news for the store), and she loves reading and current affairs. Her female inspiration is the author J K Rowling, for her commitment to her roots despite her success, and her work for charity.
Next up, meet Zeenat Kazmi. She is an optometrist at the South Street store, and has been there for two years. She enjoys travelling and reading, but confesses to sometimes being annoyed by people who walk too slowly. She is inspired by her mum, because she is strong and tough and everything Zeenat aspires to be as a woman.
Finally, meet Cecilia Bogdanel, who has been an optical assistant at the store for two and a half years. Outside of work, she has a passion for photography and interior design, but hates superficial people and mess. She is inspired by the American actress Jennifer Garner, because of the way she carries herself.
A word from the store director
Bhavi Mistry, optometrist director in Romford, said: ‘Myself and the other store directors are lucky to have a terrific team at the South Street store.
‘And while we would never want to suggest we do not also have some great men on the team too, International Women’s Day is a great chance for us to highlight of some the amazing women who work at Specsavers Romford.’
