Ripley helps team look the part
A team of Ripley footballers will take to the pitch in style this season thanks to the support of their local Specsavers.
The Codnor Boys’ Football Club has secured sponsorship from the store on Oxford Street for the year, with the store providing branded kits for the under 12s team, including shirts, shorts, socks and training tops.
A word from the store director
Store director Kuldip Dosanjh said: ‘We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Codnor Town Football Club under 12s this season. They are a talented group of young footballers and a great example for other children in the local area to get active and involved in sports.’
The community club was founded in 1981 and provides a safe and enjoyable environment for children of all ages to practice and play football. Team coaches George Wingrove and Adam Calcutt are grateful to Specsavers for supporting the team, which relies on sponsorship from local businesses.
Coach George Wingrove said: ‘The squad loves their brand-new kit and feels proud to be representing the club and Specsavers on the field. Our fantastic sponsors make all the difference and give the kids that extra motivation in matches.’
Coach Adam Calcutt said: ‘All of our players have been working hard in training sessions and matches, and we’ve gone from strength to strength. We’re looking forward to a successful season, boosted by stylish new shirts!’
